Thesis Menu Comments

Rationale - Each thesis should have clearly developed rationale in the literature.

Location - The thesis statement should be located very early in your paper.

Thesis Missing - The thesis or thesis statement is missing (MLA Chapter 1, 1.8.2, 42-3).

Unclear - The thesis needs to be clearer and more concise.

Single Sentence - The thesis should be clearly stated in a single sentence.

Operationally Define Terms - If a thesis statement contains words or concepts that would be considered operational definitions, these definitions need to be explained as well.
